Mission Statement
Roslyn School serves a diverse socio-economic, linguistic and multi-cultural population. Our mission is to promote the intellectual, moral, social, emotional, and physical development of our students in an intellectually stimulating, caring, healthy and safe environment. Bilingualism and nurturing a life long love of learning for every student is a top priority for us at Roslyn. We strive to prepare our students for their civic responsibilities in Quebec, Canada and the Global Community.

Programs
Roslyn School is an enriched French Immersion School from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Literacy and more specifically reading is a major focus for all teachers at Roslyn. Our goal is to have all students reading at grade level in a second language by the end of grade 2. As a result of a number of grants and our excellent resource teachers we are able to provide additional support to those students who may be experiencing academic challenges. We also offer enrichment in a number of academic areas to those students who have been identified by their teachers as candidates for this University student led program. The school also boasts a unique and stimulating science program for students from Cycle 1 to Cycle 3. The music program enables pupils to discover that they can all sing, play a musical instrument and should they so desire audition for our school choir. The school librarian encourages students to develop a love for reading and a thirst for knowledge. She works in tandem with the teachers to instruct the students in research methods in the library, on the internet and with other sources of media information.

Events / Activities
The Home and School Association offers many lunchtime and after school extra-curricular activities such as kindergym, basketball, ballet/tap, techno kids, web weavers, reptiles, arts, crafts and sculpture. An annual citrus sale, a skating party and two extremely successful bake sales are just a sampling of the events that take place at Roslyn throughout the year.

Parental Participation
The parents of Roslyn School are extremely involved. A strong Governing Board works in collaboration with the staff to create a caring and supportive atmosphere. The Parent Participation Organization (PPO) and the Home and School are essential to this thriving community. Parent volunteers assist staff in a wide array of activities for and with the children.
