Immigration rules and procedures

New rules regarding the maximum number of applications for a Certificat de sélection du Québec that wil be received by the Ministère and their processing priority will be in effect for the peirod April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016¹.

The rules regarding the maximum number of applications that will be received by the Ministère do not in any way reflect a change in Québec’s immigration objectives (in French, 219 Kb). By limiting the number of applications received, the Ministère will be able to process a greater number of pending applications thereby reducing processing times.

* If you have advanced intermediate knowledge of French demonstrated by a standardized test recognized by the Ministère, your application is not subject to the new rules and you can submit your application at any time between April 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016.
** You can submit your application at any time if you are in one or the other of the situations specified in the Permanent workers section.
