Description

- Ensure the daycare operation is in accordance with provincial licensing regulations and the Churchill Community High School Day Care policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of and ability to program with-in a play-based curriculum.
- Performance management of all staff, students and volunteers.
- Organize staff schedules, timesheets, employee leave requests, etc.
- Maintain confidentiality of all families and staff at the daycare.
- Maintain direct responsibility for the care and safety of the children attending daycare.
- Maintain contact with parents, address the public and parent inquiries/complaints.
- Assist with maintenance of daycare accounts, accept payments, track NSF payments and ensure daily banking is kept up to date.
- Preparing budgets and maintaining accountability for allocated budgets and funds used to support programs.
- Develop proposals for funding assistance from all levels of government and/or sponsors as required.
- Assume role of Early Childhood Educator when necessary to maintain the approved child to staff ratio.
- Work collaboratively with staff, students and board members to ensure a supportive environment.
- Early Childhood Education Diploma Level 3 preferably or the commitment to take the necessary education towards a Level 3 in an acceptable time limit.
- Must have Valid Class 5 Driver's License and own vehicle.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrate knowledge of provincial licensing requirements.
- Maintain a current CPR and First aid.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrate positive attitude, leadership skills and be a role model for all staff.
- Have a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check
