Hiring an Early Childhood Educator in Richmond!

Position: Early Childhood Educator

Working Condition: $16.00/hour, 35.00 hours /week

Term of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Requirement:
- Valid ECE License to Practice
- Very solid creative skills in arts and crafts
- Music performing skills as big asset
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current Criminal Record Check
- Statement from a medical practitioner indicating adequate physical and psychological capability to work with children and carry out assigned duties.
- College Diploma related to child growth/development required
- At least 1 year of ECE experience.

Duties:
- Communicate effectively with children, their parents, and other staff.
- Plan and implement developmental programs based on observation of individual children.
- Provide quality, nurturing care to children.
- Conducts developmental screenings and ongoing assessments of children to determine motor, language, social, cognitive perceptual and emotional skills.
- Organize each day's activities to provide children with a variety of experiences and opportunities that allow them to develop curiosity, initiative, problem-solving skills, and a sense of self and a feeling of belonging to the group.
- Promote feelings of security and trust in children.
- Maintain a positive, calm attitude and to parents and volunteers.
- Provide internal training as necessary.
