Blind Bay Munchkins Childcare is looking for an Early Childhood Educator or Assistant to join our team. This position is part-time with the possibility of moving into full-time in the future for the right person.
We provide high quality childcare in our play based program, based around the interests of the children. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about their job!

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develops a supportive and friendly relationship with children and parents.

2. Developmentally appropriate program planning. Be open to trying new things, letting children take risks.

3. Guides and assists the children in the development of appropriate life skill and social interactions.

Qualifications, Education, Training and Experience:

1. Early Childhood Education certificate or assistant certifications and a current License to Practise.
2. Experience working in a childcare center

Occupational Competencies:

1. Ability to assist, plan and implement programs for children aged 0-5.

2. Ability to assist in establishing and maintaining a safe, developmentally appropriate and
healthy environment for children.

3. Knowledge of child development and positive child guidance.

4. Work as a team with other staff along with being reliable and punctual.
