Looking for a qualified Infant and Toddler Early Childhood Educator

Write Choice Early Learning Centre is an early childhood education provider located in Coquitlam BC. We are currently looking for a responsible, ethical and qualified infant and toddler early childhood educator. This position is responsible for the class of 0 to 3 year old.

Position: Early Childhood Educator – Infant and Toddler  (NOC: 4214)

Number of Vacancy: 1

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week)

Salary: $17.50 per hour

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Education requirement:
• Completion of at least a post-secondary level of education or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE) is required.
• Early Childhood education certificate/license is required.
• Infant-Toddler specialization certificate/license is required.
• Current First Aid Certificate and Criminal Record Check are also required.

Work experience requirement: At least 1 year of work experience is preferred and is an asset

Language Requirement: English

Duties:

• Plan and develop programs and activities suitable for children at an age between 0~3 years old

• Design and create learning programs to meet children's physical, intellectual, social, cultural, creative and emotional needs

• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children

• Maintain and update individual record of children handled taking note of the program's positive and negative results

• Develop listening, comprehensive skills using approved subjects in storytelling, role playing, games, music and art activities

• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and washroom habits

• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers working with children

• Regularly communicate with parents and guardians regarding their children’s development needs and learning process
