New Kids on the Block Daycare is currently accepting applications for a full-time Early Childhood Assistant, I/T or Early Childhood Educator to join our team. Under the direction of the Manager, Early Childhood Assistants and Early Childhood Educators are responsible for the direct care and supervision of children within the daycare. Working within a team environment, we are seeking an energetic, reliable, flexible, creative and confident individual with a passion for guiding and nurturing children's development.

Essential Functions:

• Plan and implement programs appropriate activities for children, including leading children in activities such as storytelling, songs, preparing arts & crafts and providing opportunities for creativity
• Establish positive relationships with parents/guardians, staff and other stakeholders through positive daily communications and working relationships
• Ensuring that all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained according to licensing requirements
• Provide a fun, nurturing and safe environment for children by maintaining a well-organized, safe and clean environment
• Provide training and act as a role model for other staff, students and new team member
• Follow all center policies
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Educator and/or Toddler Educator Certificate, and/or Early Childhood Educator Assistant certificate
• Current first aid certificate
• Current Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector search
• 2 or more professional references
