Position Title: Early Childhood Educator at Licensed Group Daycare (3 years –5 years)
Centre: Smilestones Junior Kindergarten Langley
Location: 150-8661 201 Street, Langley, B.C. V2Y 0G9
Terms: Full Time (40 hours/week)
Shift: Monday to Friday shifts varying between 6:45am & 6:00pm

Salary: $16/hour

The successful candidate will work in the following areas:
a) Curriculum Development, which involves planning and implementing activities that will meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the program
b) Ensure activities are culturally appropriate and linked with curriculum goals
c) Help with the preparation and provision of nutritious snacks and lunches
d) Ensure all equipment and facility are clean, well-maintained, and safe at all times
e) Be familiar with emergency procedures as well as licensing regulations
f) Closely follow licensing regulations, ensuring that the care and hygiene of the centre follows stipulated standards
g) Supervise children, ensuring that their safety is prioritized at all times
h) Establish positive relationships with children and families, by building meaningful relationships and maintaining open communication on a daily basis.
I) Participate in monthly staff meetings, actively contributing new ideas to improve
the quality of the program.
J) Work as part of a team, helping co-workers when needed to ensure that the
daily schedule is followed and flows smoothly

Requirements:
Minimum of an ECE certificate from recognized B.C. educational institution
Willing to submit to a Criminal Records Check
Valid First Aid Certificate
Minimum 6 months experience working with children
Oral and written English skills required
