The successful candidate will be able to:

• Work as part of a team to plan and implement quality programming.
• Prepare and maintain the indoor and outdoor play areas including checking toys and equimpment to ensure safe functiioning and performing various housekeeping and sanitizing duties as required.
• Ensure special diet requirements.
• Maintain healthy relationships and communicate effectively, professionally, and respectuflly with children, families and colleagues.
• Be familiar with the expectations and requirements of Community Care Licensing.
• Demonstrate understanding of and respect for the competency of young children.
• Be aware of and work within the ECEBC Code of Ethics.
• Participate in ongoing professional development.
• Work within a multicultural environmnet.
• Follow all of Rainbow's policies and procedures, which are well documented.

Qualifications:

• British Columbia Early Childhood Educator License to practice required.
• Current First Aid Certificate required.
• Food Safe Certificate.
• Experience working in a licensed childcare centre.
• Strong program planning, organizational, leadership, and communitcation skills required.
• A clear criminal reference check.
