Hours: On Call, shifts vary from Monday – Friday between 7:30 am & 5:30 pm
Rate of Pay: $18.71/hr - $19.33/hr dependent on qualifications

This is you:

OSNS Child & Youth Development Centre is seeking energetic, creative and positive individuals to work as on-call substitutes in our Preschool and Daycare Programs. Depending upon qualifications successful candidates will be responsible for providing high quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years old.

Qualifications for individuals applying for ECE Substitute:
- A valid Early Childhood Education Certificate or ECE Assistant Certificate issued by the BC ECE Registry
- A Criminal Record Check clearance letter
- Evidence of compliance with the provinces immunization control program
-  Ability to provide 2 current work related references
- Effective guiding & caring skills
- Valid First Aid Certification
Additional Assets:
- Infant Toddler Educator or Special Needs Educator Certification

Qualifications for individuals applying for Responsible Adult Casual:
- A Criminal Record Check clearance letter
- Evidence of compliance with the provinces immunization control program
-  Ability to provide 2 current work related references
- Effective guiding & caring skills
- Valid First Aid Certification
- Experience working with children 0 – 5 years old 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Assist in supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities
- Ensure children’s safety and well-being
- Assist children in daily care routines, developmental or behavioral plans
- Assist in preparing & implementing age appropriate, child lead, play based activities
- Report problems or concerns to Supervisor
- Assist in housekeeping duties to ensure program facilities and equipment are safe and clean
