Sweet  Peas Cottage is looking for  a full-time early childhood educator –Infant and Toddler

Sweet Peas Cottage is a North Vancouver based Preschool/Daycare dedicated to creating a safe and caring environment for young children.  We offer childcare services for children from 0 to 5 years old.  We are a fully licensed and insured childcare provider. Through our play based programs, children are given the opportunity to develop their social, emotional, physical and intellectual selves.  We are in need of a full-time early childhood educator for infants and toddlers.

Duties:
• Provide care for infants and toddlers
• Plan and implement developmental programs based on observation of individual children
• Observe and record children’s growth, behavior and development, and discuss these with parents
• Integrate children with special needs into the program, modifying the program and the physical environment if necessary
• Prepare play and learning materials and set up the children’s environment
• Supervise children’s play, ensuring their physical safety at all times
• Help children with daily routines such as toileting, dressing, eating and sleeping
• Prepare Light snacks and meals
• Maintain a safe, clean and appealing environment
• Performs other related duties as required

Requirement
• Completion of college program in early childhood education including infant and toddler care
• Experience in child care for infants and toddlers
• Valid BC Early Childhood Educator Infant/Toddler license
• Criminal records check
• First Aid Certificate
• Certificate for special needs an asset

Salary: $18.00 per hour, 40 hours/week

Location: 250-400 Brooksbank Avenue, BC  V7J2CL
