Ocean Rain International Daycare in Victoria, BC is looking for Full-Time, Permanent Early Childhood Educators.

Conditions
• Position: E.C.E (Early Childhood Educator)
• Full-Time position, 40 hrs/week (shifted schedule) 8 hours a day.
• Hourly Wage: $19.50/hour
• Vacation: 10 days paid vacation/year
• Number of Positions: 1

Requirements:
• Experience: 1 year or more experience as a Early Childhood Educator or Assistant
• Education: Completion of Early Childhood Educator with Infant Toddler Specialty Certificate program which allows practice in BC
• Criminal Record check clearance done in the past 5 years
• Valid First Aid & CPR certificate
• Language: English (second language would be an asset but not mandatory)

Job Duties;
• Report to the Director of Operation
• Be responsible for direct supervision and safety of children enrolled in the program
• Develop and implement daily activities that support and promote the development of children
• Follow behavior guidance and policies established by the centre
• Plan, carry out, and assess developmentally appropriate activities
• Encourage children, parents and staff to develop lasting and meaningful friendships with one another
• Ensure that the classroom is maintained in a neat, organized, and safe fashion
• Prepare the teacher’s report for newsletter and general meetings
• Communicate with parents and co-workers effectively
