View Royal Preschool offers longstay Preschool and Daycare services for children 30-month to school age.  We are fully licensed and insured childcare provider, through the Province of British Columbia and through the City of Victoria.  Our programs are play-based and are designed to promote children's physical, social, intellectual and linguistic development.  We are surrounded by wonderful natural landscape and children can explore the outside playground with lots of fun.

Now we are in need of a full-time Early Childhood Educator (Supervisor) - 1 post and Early Childhood Educator - 1 post for our longstay preschool program.

Position: Full-time Early Childhood Educator (32 - 40 hours per week)

* Support Early Childhood Educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitie, emotional and social development of children.

* Be familiar with Emergency procedures

* Working experience with children with Special needs.

* House keeping duties

* Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing art

* Maintain preschool equipment and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children

* Good team leader

QUALIFICATIONS:

* ECE Diploma/Certificate

* Passion to work with children

* Valid ECE license to practice.  

* Valid standard first-aid with CPR-C

* Minimum two reference letters

* Doctors note stated that you are eligible to work with children

* 10-month program (September - June).  Summer Camp in July and August.
