Duties:

Central City junior Kindergarten provides a safe, age and developmentally appropriate environment and curriculum for children to the Central Surrey community. At this time we are looking to fill ONE positions of Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The Early Childhood Educator will perform the following duties:

• Develop and implement child-care activities that support and meet  the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of the children.
• Provide various experience and activities for children, including storytelling, games and songs.
• Assist children in expressing themselves by listening and responding with questions or comments that extend conversations.
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.
• Ensure that all children are supervised at all times.
• Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all time.
• Communicate with parents and discuss their children’s development.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Wages: $ 17.00/hr.

Skills requirement:

• A college diploma in early childhood education is required.
• Minimum 1-year of experience working with children in an early childhood education environment is required.
• An understanding issues that affect children and their families.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
