Early Childhood Educator (Maternity Leave)

Are you eager to work in a high-energy childcare centre where the results of your efforts translate into healthy, happy children and families?  The Esquimalt Military Family Resource Centre is currently looking for a full time Early Childhood Educator for our Colwood Pacific Activity Centre location.  Hours of work for this position are 9:30-5:30.

As an early childhood educator, you love what you do, and you’re excited to plan, carry out, and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities designed to encourage learning.  You’re responsible and mature—a natural nurturer with a child-centred approach and experience working with children age 3-5 years.  Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills mean you’re at ease interacting with parents, community members, and fellow staff on a daily basis.

To thrive in this role, you have:

• A valid Early Childhood Educator license to practice (Infant and Toddler certification a plus).
• Current First Aid Certification.
• Knowledge and understanding of the issues that affect children of military families.
• A valid driver's license (class 4 license a plus!)
