The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Vancouver Island (BGCCVI) is Vancouver Island’s largest childcare provider and is trusted by more parents than any other childcare provider.  The BGCCVI is a registered non-profit organization and charitable organization serving over 1000 children, youth and families in Comox, Courtenay, Lantzville, Nanaimo and Ladysmith through enriching programs in 12 club locations.

We are currently looking to recruit Early Childhood Educator Assistants to support our childcare teams with the increased enrollment for the summer.

This is a term position, working 40 hours per week for a total of 9 weeks between June 5, 2017 and August 25, 2017.  Reporting to the ECE Supervisor, the ECEA is responsible for: working as a key member of an integrated staff team that consistently strives for inclusion and excellence, assisting with planning, implementation, and evaluation of developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children using modeling, observing, questioning, demonstrating and reinforcing techniques.

The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications: Minimum of one course in Early Childhood Education and Care and, must be licensed with the Provincial Community Care Licensing Board.

Must be a current student and returning to school in the fall.

Salary: $15.00 per hour
