Description
Play & Discover ELC is seeking a energetic individual who is passionate about working in the field of Early Childhood Education. Our centre focuses on the vision and principles of Play & Exploration: Early Learning Program Guide. We focus all experiences on the interests of the children and plan those experiences in a holistic manner ensuring we meet all developmental needs of the children. We are an inclusive centre that is dedicated to offering quality education and care to all children including those with diverse abilities.
The successful candidate will be working with a group of children and will be responsible for ensuring their safety and well-being at all times, planning and implementing open-ended experiences in all developmental domains, and assisting them in developing self-help skills such as dressing and toileting. There are also other job responsibilities such as laundry, light cleaning duties, etc.
We are looking for an educator to cover a couple of back to back maternity leaves over the next couple of years. One maternity leave ends in December 2017 and the other starts around December 2017 and the end date is TBD. The position could turn into a permanent position in the future.
We offer many additional benefits that we offer our team members. We receive paid days off at Christmas as well as at Easter. In addition to that time off we earn paid holiday days. Once earned, each team member has access to paid sick days when needed among others.
Applicants must have an Early Childhood Education certificate or diploma or equivalent to an ECE level II or III. Please do not send a resume if you don't meet the education requirements.
