Helping kids realize their dreams and overcome school challenges is passionate work, and Oxford Learning Saskatoon is looking for a committed, reliable, and enthusiastic Little Readers teacher.The Little Readers program is an enriched half-day learning reading program for children aged 3 6, that develops the foundational skills needed to learn and excel.
The Little Readers teacheruses proprietary materials to teach students; letter names, sounds, phonics, reading, comprehension, vocabulary, writing, and fine motor skills. The maximum class size is 5 students and each Little Readers session is 2.5 hours long.

Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or enrolment in the program is an asset
B.Ed with Primary focus is an asset

Training starts June 12, 2017and the full position starts on July 3, 2017. Starting rate is $15.00/hr, including training. Candidates must be able to work Monday through Thursday mornings in July and August. An ideal candidate would be able to continue with morning and afternoon shifts from September onwards.

- Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
- Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children
- Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
- Observe children and report on observations to supervisor
- Prepare and serve snacks
- Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
Additional Skills
- Assist in maintaining records of children
- Maintain day care supplies and equipment
