Position: Early Childhood Educator

Working (Business) Location: 2062 Esquimalt Ave., West Vancouver, BC, V7V 1S4

Duties:
• Plan and develop programs and activities suitable of children
• Design and develop learning programs to meet children’s physical, intellectual, social, cultural, creative and emotional needs.
• Regularly communicate with parents and guardians regarding their kid’s development needs and learning progress.
• Maintain and update individual record of children handled taking note of the program’s positive and negative results.
• Develop listening, comprehension and motor skills using approved subjects in storytelling, role playing, games, music and creative art activities.
• Supervise both indoor and outdoor play times including community trips to museums, zoos and parks.
• Release children only to those authorized by parent / guardian, to ask for identification in order to ensure that the authorized pick-up has been verified.

Working conditions:
Working hours: 30 ~ 35 hours per week (full-time & permanent position)
Wage: $16.00 per hour
Benefits: 4% of vacation fee or 10 days of paid vacation after one year of employment

Qualification:
- Holds a valid BC ECE (Early Childhood Educator) license is required.
- Completion of college diploma in Early Childhood Education or relevant degree is required.
- Having previous work experience as an Early Childhood Educator is an asset.
- Additional courses/training related to child growth and development is a definite asset.
